Time: 10 hours a month Our volunteer mentor program connects loving consistent adults in one-on-one relationships with high-risk children ages 6-16 in Southeast, D.C. With training and support, mentors spend approximately ten hours per month with their mentees encouraging them to grow into healthy, thriving young people. Christ taught that we must become childlike to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Many of the young people in Southeast DC, however, face daily realities that prevent them from experiencing childhood now. We believe that mentoring allows children the chance to be children today and mature, but child-like believers in the future. You can serve as a mentor to a child/teen today and make a lasting difference. Contact us at sekids@gmail.com, 202.575.3337 for more information.
